My friend Dustin Connors is an elementary teacher in New York and he released a short video of a young boy from Yemen talking about the violence in his homeland and making it to the United States. It’s a simple but beautiful take on the elevation of immigration in our country’s history.

If you’ve follow the attention towards Hamilton, the musical, you’ve probably read that Founding Father Alexander Hamilton emigrated from a Caribbean Island, St. Croix. My own grandparents and even Trump’s mother immigrated in the 20th century.
